Clíona works as a Psychotherapist, with more than 12 years experience of working with individual adults, adolescents and families. She has also taught Mindfulness to individuals and groups, through 8-week courses, introductory groups and workshops. Currently she is focusing on her work as a psychotherapist, often incorporating aspects of mindfulness where appropriate.

Having practiced meditation since 2003 Clíona has a particular interest in the links between Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, including that of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and its application to working with depression, anxiety and stress.

She is accredited as a Psychotherapist in Systemic/Family Therapy with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI), The Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) and The European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). Clíona has completed a four year Post Graduate Diploma in Mindfulness-Based Approaches at the University of Bangor, Wales, (2006-2010).

She has also attended training and retreats on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with internationally renowned mindfulness/meditation teachers Jon Kabat-Zinn, Saki Santorelli, John Teasdale and Christina Feldman and continues to attend retreats and training on a regular basis.
