    Individual Mindfulness Sessions with Josephine

    If you are not in a position to participate in a full 8-week MBSR/MBCT course but would like to explore how you might begin to develop more mindfulness in your own life, Josephine and Helen are now offering one-to-one sessions. If you would like to manage stress, depression, anxiety, illness, insomnia or chronic pain differently, or if you are interested in developing greater emotional resilience so that you can keep your balance in stressful situations, you might benefit from an individual programme of one or more sessions.

    These weekly sessions are intended to support graduates of 8 week Mindfulness-Based courses in continuing the formal practice of Mindfulness. Each week, Josephine or Helen will give a short teaching and lead the group in a formal practice. There will also be an opportunity for discussion.

    Mindfulness Training is a synthesis of Eastern spiritual traditions with Western sciences adapted into secular programmes widely available in mind-body medicine settings. These programmes include the work of Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

    COURSE STRUCTURE:
    A weekly, two-hour class for eight consecutive weeks
    A one-day workshop of mindfulness practice during the course
    45 minutes of home practice on every non-class day for duration of course (meditation CDs and worksheets are provided)

    The Tender Heart: Residential Mindfulness Teacher Development / Retreat weekend with Cindy Cooper

    This residential retreat / training is for people who are already teaching mindfulness-based courses. Mindfulness.ie is delighted to announce this residential training / retreat in response to requests from mindfulness teachers who have attended events we have run in the past.

    Cindy Cooper has a 35-year background as a counselor/ psychotherapist working with a variety of client groups. Cindy is a member of the teaching faculty of Bangor University's Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice. She has been supervising mindfulness teachers and therapists for a number of years. She has a strong link with Ireland, having traveled here on a number of occasions to train teachers and therapists and to offer live supervision.

    We at mindfulness.ie are delighted to welcome her back and to offer the first of what we hope will be many residential trainings for mindfulness teachers, contributing to the personal and professional development of the mindfulness community in Ireland.
