Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Zen Master, poet, scholar and human rights activist, and the founder of the Buddhist Order of Interbeing.   In 1967 he was nominated by Martin Luther King Jr. for the Nobel Peace Prize.  He is the author of many books, including Being Peace, The Miracle of Mindfulness and Calming the Fearful Mind.  He was exiled from his native Vietnam following the Vietnam war and now lives at Plum Village, his meditation community’s home in France, and travels worldwide, leading retreats on the art of mindful living. Now in his 80s, his simple, clear and poetic style of writing and teaching continues to inspire thousands of people and has brought the healing power of mindfulness to many in the West.
