MAPPING MOVEMENT
During this day workshop we will have the time to slow down and explore the everyday but complex process of walking.
Our inquiry will include the relationship between the pelvis, legs and feet as well as the surface upon which we walk.
We will also play with the relationship through the spine upwards to the ribcage and head, as we track movement pathways through the arms and hands, awakening our body intelligence.
This process can lead to greater integration, ease and flow.
I have spent 40 years exploring movement through the practice of yoga, chi gong, somatics and the feldenkrais method, for myself as well as with groups and individuals. I bring this experience to help unpack what we all spent the first year and a half of our lives preparing for!
The venue is Gorse Hill where we will have access to a spacious room overlooking the bay and, weather permitting, to the beautiful terraced garden surrounding it.
