1 - 1 Support for Mental Health

What does it involve?

One to one support for mental health can take many forms. We adopt a “person centred” approach, which means acknowledging that each individual is unique and has unique strengths and vulnerabilities. We don’t believe in a one size fits all approach.

Sometimes the work can be short term and quite focused and sometimes it can be longer term and more open ended.

You might seek one to one support because you find yourself feeling overloaded or overwhelmed, confused or depressed, lonely or disconnected.  You might be at a point in your life where you want to better understand yourself and get to the root of recurring patterns. You might want support in finding more meaning and purpose in your life. Whatever your reason, we will create a space that you can trust and feel confident to explore your experience without fear of feeling judged or criticised.

A trauma informed approach to mindfulness and self-compassion underpins all of our work. We also draw on aspects of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Rogerian psychotherapy, internal family systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Therapy and Yoga.
